What is the difference between Kenya visa and e-Visa?
The main difference between a Kenya visa and an e-Visa lies in the application process and the medium through which the visa is obtained.
A Kenya visa refers to a traditional visa that is obtained through the Kenyan embassy or consulate in your home country or the country of your current residence. It typically involves submitting a physical application form, along with supporting documents such as your passport, photographs, and any required fees. The application is then reviewed by the embassy or consulate, and upon approval, a visa sticker or stamp is affixed to your passport, granting you permission to enter Kenya.
On the other hand, a Kenya e-Visa is an electronic visa that can be applied for and obtained online. Kenya introduced the e-Visa system to simplify and expedite the visa application process. With an e-Visa, you can apply for your visa through Kenya Immigration Services by filling out an online application online form, providing the necessary documents via email, and making the required payment online. The processing time for an e-Visa is typically much shorter compared to a traditional visa.
The e-Visa offers the convenience of applying online, eliminates the need for physical paperwork, and generally provides a faster processing time compared to the traditional visa application process.
