How many states are in Kenya?

Kenya is divided into 47 counties, which serve as the primary administrative units established by the 2010 Constitution. This system replaced the previous provincial structure, which consisted of eight provinces. Each county is governed by an elected governor and has a degree of autonomy, allowing for localized decision-making and resource management.
