Do Liberian citizens need a visa for Kenya?
No. Liberian citizens don’t need a visa to travel to Kenya. Kenya has implemented a new Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) system, which eliminates the need for all nations to obtain a tourist visa for entrance. All travelers, with the exception of nationals of Kenya and East African Community partner nations, must apply for the ETA online before their arrival.
Liberians are required to submit the following for the ETA application:
- Valid passport (6 months validity from the date of entry in Kenya, with at least two blank pages)
- Passport-style photographs
- Contact information: home address, email address, and phone number.
- Itinerary details
- Accommodation booking confirmation
Depending on their place of residence/travel history, some may be asked to provide a Yellow Fever certificate (if entering from a Yellow Fever-endemic country) as well as supplementary vaccines.
Following the application, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided in the application. Once approved, the ETA will be provided to the same email address.
The standard processing period for ETAs is three working days, and the status of applications can be checked at any time via the Kenya Immigration Services website using the ETA reference number provided via the website.
