The Kenyan Government announced that from 01st January 2024, all visitors, including infants and children who intend to travel to the Republic of Kenya, must have an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before the start of their journey.
Suppose you are a Kazakhstani citizen traveling to Kenya. In that case, you must apply for a Kenya eTA before your travel date to enter and stay in the country for tourism purposes. You do not need to go to the embassy to obtain this document.
A Kenya electronic visa, also known as the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) is valid for 90 days after it is issued to Kazakhstani citizens. It allows a single entry and a stay of up to 90 days from the date of arrival.
Kenya eTA is a semi-automated system that verifies visitors' eligibility for travel to Kenya. An eTA grants authorization to travel and is issued by the Government of the Republic of Kenya. An eTA does not decide whether a visitor is allowed to enter Kenya. When passengers arrive, immigration authorities will assess their admissibility.
The most convenient option is to apply for the Kenya eTA online for Kazakhstani citizens. In around 20 minutes, applicants can complete the simple online form and submit the eTA application form for review. They can then print out a copy to display alongside their passport at Kenyan border control to present it at border control upon arrival.
Activities permitted with the Kenyan eTA include:
- Vacations
- Business activities
- Visiting friends and relatives
- Medical treatment
Travelers whose purpose of visit is not covered under the eTA must apply for the appropriate visa through the Kenyan Embassy in Kazakhstan.

There are 02 types of Kenya eTA:
