Kenya eTA Types and Fees - Kenya Immigration Services
Kenya Immigration Services provides eTA services for foreigners who plan to travel to Kenya.
Introducing the Kenya eTA and traveling to Kenya
In January 2024, The Kenya Government replaced the eVisa with the Electronic Travel Authorization (Kenya ETA), for which citizens of all countries are eligible to apply. With this new policy, tourists are no longer required to apply for a visa when traveling to Kenya. Instead, they can apply for the eTA with a simple process.
What is a Kenya eTA?
The Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) is a partially automated system designed to assess the eligibility of individuals planning to visit Kenya. Issued and sanctioned by the Government of the Republic of Kenya, the eTA grants permission for travel to Kenya and allows travelers to stay there for a specific duration.
Citizens of Kenya and EAC Partner States, including Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, are EXEMPTED from the Kenya eTA.
This Kenya ETA replaces the Kenya eVisa. Unlike the eVisa, which is a fully digital equivalent of a regular visa, the ETA serves primarily as a pre-arrival registration process that allows for faster admission into the nation.
What is the benefit of Kenya eTA system?
The Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization facilitates the submission of information and required documentation from anywhere. Travelers are able to complete the application process within a few minutes and get a Kenya eTA in a maximum of 03 business days.
Anticipated to refine the arrival processes in the Republic of Kenya, the Kenya eTA is poised to mitigate queues during health, customs, and immigration inspections, thereby contributing to an improved and more efficient entry experience.
How Much is a Kenya eTA?
